Dream #1 of 3 Soon to be Realized...Bring on the Culture
Yes, it's true! I'm finally going to be able to live out one of my lifelong dreams. I'M GOING TO LONDON. My dream is actually to see a Shakespeare play in the Globe theater and today I found out that I was accepted into the London Theater Study Abroad Program for Spring term 2009. I am super excited. The program begins on April 29th and goes till June 12th. We will be living in flats in downtown London and taking classes as well as visiting the sights. We'll get a free weekend to travel wherever we want (within reason, of course). As part of the program we will get to see A Winter's Tale and As You Like It by the Royal Shakespeare Co. in Stratford-upon-Avon and Waiting for Godot featuring Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen in London. The program coordinators are researching other theater opportunities, including performances of Chekov's The Cherry Orchard, a musical, and two Shakespeare plays at the Globe. Not only will my dream be realized, but we'll get to see TWO plays at the Globe. For those who didn't get to see my reaction upon hearing of my acceptance, picture lots of jumping, screaming, and jaw-dropping....and then there was my excitement. Overall, I CAN'T WAIT!!

Oh my gosh!! No way! I am so jealous. Take me with you!!!! That is so so fun. I want to hear all about everything.
