- I woke up to a voicemail of my parents singing "Happy Birthday". My birthday is also their anniversary and I was born on their 1st anniversary so they were never able to celebrate their anniversary until I moved out.
- In PEC, the bishopric all wished me Happy Birthday.
- After church, I walked home and found my door covered in "24 REALLY GOOD reasons why we love Anne". I was flabbergasted (and I teared up a bit) as I read each one.
- Italian Import gave me a scarf he brought back from his recent trip to Italy. The scarf has "Amazing girl" printed on it and it's beautiful.
- CK made me a blue birthday cake complete with blue frosting and candle (my favorite color). All of that was accompanied by a hilarious operatic rendition of "Happy Birthday". He then continued by doing our dishes, taking out the trash, wiping the counters, and sweeping our kitchen (he knows that I really enjoy cleaning and taking out the trash...as well as how often I end up doing it nowadays...so he gave me the day off)
- My Home Teacher brought over his accordion and played for me.
- One of my counselors gave me a gift of 3 beautiful journals.
- My aunt called and demanded I come to dinner right away because it was my birthday and they wanted to see me. Dinner with them always includes cute kids, amazing food, and good quality time with my family; my birthday was no different.
- During my time with my family, I got to skype with my "best friends and roommates". We were in 5 cities, 4 states, and 3 time zones but still as close as ever. It was truly an amazing experience!
- A mysterious person left me a chocolate bar on my bed with a smiley-face note.
- I got the most nice-notes I've ever received -- 20 in one day...all for me.
- Baby Brother called and we chatted for an hour
- I spent the last 5 minutes of my birthday writing down the goals I've achieved this year, as well as new ones I want to do this new year.
Overall, this was the most memorable birthday ever and I definitely know I've never felt this special, valued, appreciated, noticed, and treasured by more than just my immediate family on my birthday.
